Apple Bans iSlam Muhammad App from App Store

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

Apple’s jumped onto the Muslim appeasement bandwagon and banned an app that simply quotes from the Koran from the App Store. I’m working on a piece that goes into more detail about why Apple bugs me, but for now just watch the video. It’s instructive.

And About that “Self-Defense” Thing

Saturday, May 15th, 2010

Mark Steyn calls it as it is with regard to the West’s continued capitulation to the “Muslim world”: Listening to Attorney General Holder, one is tempted to modify Trotsky: You may not be interested in Islam, but Islam is interested in you. Islam smells weakness at the heart of the west. The post-World War Two [...]

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

If you read nothing else about the Obama inauguration speech, and the meaning of his presidency, read this: An Inauguration of Tyranny: January 20th, 2009. That’s big of ‘em: Vatican forgives John Lennon for Jesus quip: The Vatican’s newspaper has finally forgiven John Lennon for declaring that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, calling the remark a “boast” by a young man grappling with sudden fame. Now maybe his soul can cross the pearly gates. Or something.

Religious Clash: Mormons Baptist Jewish Ancestors

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

This week’s second–and most–truly bizarre headline: Jewish Group Wants Mormons to Stop Proxy Baptisms: Holocaust survivors said Monday they are through trying to negotiate with the Mormon church over posthumous baptisms of Jews killed in Nazi concentration camps, saying the church has repeatedly violated a 13-year-old agreement barring the practice. Leaders of The Church of Jesus [...]

Monks Clash

Monday, November 10th, 2008

WWJD?: What’s Behind the Brawl at Jesus’s Tomb: Israeli police on Sunday rushed into one of Christianity’s holiest churches to break up a brawl between monks. Two clergymen were arrested in the clash between Armenian and Greek Orthodox monks in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, which is revered as the site of Jesus’s Crucifixion, burial, [...]
